This week Nordic Folk Alliance kicks off. German music proffessionals share their knowledge about markets and opportunities. The cross-genre artist Bona Fide plays as part of this year’s Danish NEUSTART-initiative.
Nordic Folk Alliance is the largest annual meeting place for the Nordic Folk community and the industry surrounding it. With a program of showcase concerts, seminars and talks, you can expand your network and knowledge on music from the Nordic countries.
Nordic Folk Alliance welcomes delegates from across the globe – including German industry professionals who, this year, will be attending as panelists and present knowledge about the German market for the Danish artists, and facilitate networking opportunities between Danish artists and German buyers. By providing artists with knowledge and contacts this aims to strengthen artist’s opportunities to develop their own engagements in Germany independently of the Danish NEUSTART-initiative.
Nordic Folk Alliance is also part of NOMEX and will be held in Denmark once again in 2024. This will allow for the German relations to be maintained in a Nordic context for the course of this period to strengthen the bonds between the two markets.
Of the 16 acts for this year’s showcase program, Bona Fide has been curated in collaboration between Tempi and ROSA through an open call. With this show, they get direct exposure to our delegation of German industry professionals and the rest of the panel.
The conference is organised by Tempi, Export Music Sweden, Music Norway, Music Finland, Iceland Music, Gimle and Roskilde Festival.
